Mission Statement

MINISTERING TO THE LORD God didn’t save us for us to serve Him; He saved us to love us and for us to love Him. The Bible never tells us to do anything FOR God. It tells us of His love and grace and because of His love He lets us be involved in what He is doing and in our involvement, we work WITH Him and He THROUGH us. John 12:3 #1 Priority to God is to love Him - then be concerned about ministries, gifts, programs, etc. We often substitute tapes, books, seminars, sermons, good teaching about Hod’s power and His ways for waiting on God and loving Him. DON’T CENTER ON THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE INSTEAD OF THE TREE OF LIVE. John 4:23-24 II Chron. 5:13-14 God did not come down until they were as one, worshipping the Lord - same in acts 2 (check) We go into His presence and He comes into ours. “Draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh unto you. James 4:8 Exodus 19:3-6 All were to be priests but Deut 10:8-9 Ministering to the Lord Praise - What He's done - Heb. 13:15 - Psalm 140:6 Worship - Rev. 4:11 - Who He is - He alone is worthy - Gen. 22:1-5 - Giving to God - I Chron. 16:29 - Matt. 2:11 - wise men - Don’t just sing about Him Communion - Wait upon God - 1 John 1:1-3 -and He will unfold revelations to us - always in line with His word - Is. 40:31 - Exchange of strength - Him for weakness - Ps. 62:5 - Ps. 130:5-6 We are to minister to the 1. Lord 2. Church 3. World Gen. 1 - The Spirit moved, then the word. Acts. 2 - The Spirit moved, then the word. Out of ministry to the Lord comes a burden to evangelize - I Pet. 2:5,9 Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit what took place in the temple? Worship and praise. Cultivate your relationship with the Lord, then every time you draw apart to be with the Lord the communion will be there. Don’t work before you worship! Haggai 1:4-11 - in terms of spiritual temple. Christian programs won’t move people like worship will. When we try to do something it doesn’t last very long. Understand the will of God Eph. 5: 17-21 Filling with Holy Spirit 1. Praise and worship - vs. 19 2. Thank God - vs. 20 3. Submit to one another - vs. 21 Isaiah 6:1-8 A. Confession of our unworthiness B. Realization of His holiness, grace C. Realization of our privilege in Him D. Forgiveness of sins E. Evangelization Ask God to do this in your life.
