HOW LONG, WHEN & WHERE TO PRAY How long? “And I say to you, ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8 Jesus asked His followers to pray for 1 hour. Start with 5 minutes. Make a commitment and stick to it. Pray till you get an answer. When? As for me, I shall call upon God, and the Lord will save me. Evening and morning and at noon, I will complain and murmur, and He will hear my voice. Psalm 55:16,17 Pray when the Holy Spirit calls and when you’re alert. Find the time that’s right for you. God’s not picky. He wants the relationship. Where? “But you when you pray, go into your inner room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.” Matthew 6:6 Pray everywhere. Find a place in your house where you get accustomed to listening. Prayer at or near the place you are praying about. On site with insight is more powerful because God gives you special insight on site.
