BANNERS

Reading all these scriptures about banners, it is obvious that banners have to do with warfare. When they are combined with worship music, prophetic power is released.

Song of Solomon 2:4 - He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.

Song of Solomon 6:4 - Spoken by the King to the beloved – us. O my love, you are as beautiful as Tirzah, lovely as Jerusalem, awesome as an army with banners!

Song of Solomon 6:10 - Spoken by the King to the beloved – us. Who is she who looks forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, awesome as an army with banners?

Psalm 20:5-7 - We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

Psalm 60:4 - You have given a banner to those who fear You, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

Isaiah 5:26-30 - Talking about God’s actions toward those who reject the law of the Lord of hosts and despise the word of the Holy One of Israel. (vs. 24)  It is part of a song “of my Beloved regarding His vineyard.” (vs. 1) He will lift up a banner to the nations from afar, and will whistle to them from the end of the earth; surely they shall come with speed, swiftly. No one will be weary or stumble among them, no one will slumber or sleep; nor will the belt on their loins be loosed, nor the strap of their sandals be broken; whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent; their horses’ hooves will seem like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind. Their roaring will be like a lion, they will roar like young lions; yes, they will roar and lay hold on the prey; they will carry it away safely, and no one will deliver.  In that day they will roar against them like the roaring of the sea. And if one looks to the land, behold, darkness and sorrow; and the light is darkened by the clouds.

Isaiah 11:10-12 - And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him, and His resting place shall be glorious. It shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Assyria and Egypt, from Pathros and Cush, from Elam and Shinar, from Hamath and the islands of the sea. He will set up a banner for the nations, and assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Isaiah 13:1-6 - The burden against Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amos saw. Lift up a banner on the high mountain, raise your voice to them; wave your hand, that they may enter the gates of the nobles. I have commanded My sanctified ones; I have also called My mighty ones for My anger – those who rejoice in My exaltation. The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together! The Lord of hosts musters the army for battle. They come from a far country from the end of heaven – the Lord and his weapons of indignation to destroy the whole land.. Wail, for the day of the Lord is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty.
